No, you can’t. Not in FileMaker Pro. Only FileMaker Server has been upgraded to Xalan version 2.7.0 to support EXSLT functionality. Even FileMaker Pro 9 does not recognize EXSLT.

I have started one on Agile Development in FileMaker, Lasso etc at http://blog.umbrellacollective.com . I've also just finished working on a FileMaker file that talks to BaseCamp over the BaseCamp API.
